La Cantera Resort is not only the place to witness the most awe-inspiring sunsets in San Antonio. In October, it’s also the place to celebrate worthy causes and support the greater good. During October, the La Cantera family raises their glasses – and donations – to WINGS with Pinks on the Patio, a weekly event occurring at Sire Bar.
Pinks on the Patio features bubbles, popcorn, and live music every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. While you’re there, enjoy $10 cocktails and $5 glasses of Rosé from 4 p.m. to midnight, with $2 from each drink special benefitting WINGS.
One in eight women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and to bring focus to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the landscaping on Plaza San Saba will cast a rosy glow while actively supporting WINGS. Come out and view the soothing pink hue across the entire campus!
WINGS (Women Involved in Nurturing, Giving and Sharing) is designed to fill the gap that exists between breast cancer detection and treatment. For many Central and South Texas uninsured women, WINGS is their only option for what is hoped to be life-saving care and treatment. WINGS utilizes a network of physicians and treatment centers to give these women a real chance at fighting this deadly disease. Beyond treatment, WINGS works in concert with organizations dedicated to education and outreach.
