A Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald honors The First Lady of Song. The program will feature many of her greatest hits from the Great American Songbook including “It Don’t Mean A Thing, If It Ain’t Got That Swing,” “How High the Moon,” “I Got Rhythm, Summertime,” “A-Tisket, A-Tasket,” “Satin Doll,” “Blue Skies,” “Bewitched,” and many more.
Several songs will be performed with the original Nelson Riddle and Billy May orchestrations and others are newly created by Tony Award=nominated arranger Larry Blank. The program stars three amazing singers—Capathia Jenkins, Aisha de Haas, and Metropolitan opera star Harolyn Blackwell, and you won’t want to miss out!
